I couldn't help but to do a close-up from this shot.

[link]I'm pretty proud of this shot, because it's the first time I use a lens with a totally manual focusing. Also, because it's an old and lent lens, and it's a little bit hard to focus well with it.

Camera: Nikon D3100, in manual speed.

Lens: Hoya, 50mm manual focus and aperture.
Comments and critiques are more than welcome

Manual focus? Wow
Hard? well, it depends on many things. The number f you have, for example. With a low aperture, it's not so difficult. It becomes more complicated if the object is moving, and/or the aperture is wide (f2 for example).
I think all lens have the option of automatic focus or manual. I suggest you to try, it makes the photography more interesting
I supose that when you have practice it's not difficult at all
One must be super quick!
Hmmmmm mine may be able to.. I don't know how to do it, though.
Anyway, this lens is a 50mm, so the use most common for it
are portraits, etc. I've never tried with a tele-lens (is it the word? sorry for my english
The usual lens (18-55 mm, that are sold with the cameras) have the focusing just in front of the zoom. However, you must unlock that option (usually, there's a pin on the left side); if not, you'll not be able to move the focusing.
Tell me when you've got the results!
Good luck!
I'll definitely try
Thanks
